Synopsis

There exist two Realms.  The first is an Enchanted Realm, in which wizards, dragons, and fairies dwell.  The other is the Disenchanted Realm, aka Our World.   Kirsten Gables is the bully queen of her school.  When a new girl, Indigo Tallyrand, transfers in, Kirsten aggravates Indigo until the girl reveals herself to be a witch and retaliates by turning her into a piglet.  Indigo's mother, Maglenda, (who is also a witch,) teleports both girls to the office of her workshop before they cause too much ruckus.  Hoping to frighten Kirsten out of her bullying ways, Maglenda sends Kirsten with Indigo to the Enchanted Realm… tasking her with forcing a burly, subhuman brute named Dortin to pay off an old debt.  Kirsten impresses the witch by actually pulling it off, and Maglenda hires her as an errand-girl.  So begins a series of magical errands that both girls are sent to fulfill for Maglenda, (thus, Maglenda's Errand-Girls.)

The errands Maglenda assigns them are truly diverse, in terms of emotional tone, and the actual tasks.  They range from things like destroying a dangerous Money Tree, vanquishing the undead, shopping at a magical mall, and dealing with the Australian Mafia.  Even the 'simplest' of errands take on a new dimension when magic is involved, and there are always forces seeking to destroy the girls.  Yet through these errands, the bullying Kirsten comes to learn about responsibility, diligence, and how to stand strong in a ruthless world, while the straight-laced Indigo learns to come out of her mother's shadow and embrace the world around her.
